Joshua 3:1-4:24

Middle school can feel like a rollercoaster. Sometimes you might feel confident and on top of the world. Other times, you might feel unsure or not good enough. This week, you will take time to think about your own life. You will remember moments when God helped you through something hard, and moments when God blessed you in big ways. As you do that, you will start to see something important. Remembering what God has done can help you hold on to your faith, no matter what comes your way.

DAILY CHALLENGE

• REMEMBER what God has done by sharing with a friend how you have learned about God and what a relationship with Jesus means to you.

• REMEMBER what God has done by making a time capsule with three to five items that remind you of your relationship with Jesus. Put it somewhere safe with a note that says to open it when you graduate from high school.

• REMEMBER what God has done by journaling every night for five to ten minutes about ways you saw God work throughout the day.

TRY THIS

Go outside, and have each member of the family find a stone. Once everyone has a stone, each of you should share a time God helped during a difficult situation. Pray a prayer of thanksgiving. After you’ve shared and prayed, place the stones in a central location such as on the fireplace mantel or kitchen counter. This will help your family remember to thank God for the good things he has done for you.
