CONCLUSION, REFLECT, CHALLENGE

Jan 17, 2026

CONCLUSION

The message expressed in the Beatitudes still speaks to us today. It challenges how we define favor. It pushes us to reconsider who we admire, what we pray for, and how we recognize the presence of God in our lives.

Perhaps most strikingly, it reminds us that sometimes emptiness—being stripped of what is excessive or comfortable—makes us the most capable carriers of the good news. Christ did not begin His ministry among those who had achieved worldly success or status. He started with people whose hearts were open, whose circumstances may have been difficult, but whose lives were ready to receive. They were not celebrated by society, but they were receptive to Christ.

REFLECT

According to Jesus, blessing is not just about what you have. It is about who you are becoming in the process, in the wilderness, in the weeping, in the longing for something more.

From your perspective, what does it really mean to be blessed? How does your prayer life reflect your understanding of blessings?

CHALLENGE
