READ: Psalm 20:6-7

(Answer the question/s below in your app notes)

• In what ways do you need God’s victorious power?

The verse for today is powerful. “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” What are things that we trust in that are powerful, but are not God? I mean, I trust in my vehicle to get me places; I trust in a plane to bring me across an ocean. I trust in money to give me access to things that I want and need. But I’m learning to trust in God’s power—a power beyond the things that I can control, a power that desires good for me and those around me, a power that teaches me to be better as a person, and a power that leads me to live a life of love. If I want to be a better person in my community, I need to lean into God’s victorious power, because when we choose to be good to one another, we get to participate in what God is doing in the world around us.
