Micah 6:8

• How can you act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with the people whom you have a difficult time liking?

We can love more easily when we see people in a certain way. There are countless reasons for us not to like a person. Maybe they chew loudly, maybe they gossip and start drama. Maybe they have made fun of you for something you are insecure about, or maybe the way they think is offensive to you. Some people are just genuinely frustrating. While we don’t need to like everyone, we must always remember that they are created in God’s image. When we can see someone—despite the ways we feel—as a child of God, it gets easier to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with all people. Your friendship circle can look one way, but all people carry God’s image; we are all worthy of God’s love.
