Romans 1:18-25

• What’s the difference between prioritizing created things and the Creator who is God? When are you tempted to prioritize what is created rather than God?

I love things that are created. My PlayStation 5 and my PC, which I built to game with. I love the books I own, my record player—I could write a long list. It’s awesome that God gave humanity the ability to create so many things that can be used to do great things, to entertain, and to connect us. And while we interact and enjoy these items, we should do our best not to lose sight of the Creator of all things, the one who gave us the gift of creativity. It can be hard not to prioritize created things since we use all five senses to interact with them. But we can invite God into our senses. We can hear God, see God, and feel God when we make space to do life with God often. We can love created things and still love God more, and it’s easier to love God more when we make space to connect with God daily.
