1 Peter 4:12-16

• How can God work through your hard times to touch other people?

The big flag stood tall against the fiery sun. I could see the “26.2” typed vertically, waving in the wind. I was almost done. My feet ached terribly—I had developed massive blisters on both pinky toes. My face and shoulders were crisping in the sun, already stinging from the sunburn. My hamstrings were screaming in pain, each step a knife in the back of my legs. I was suffering. But the goal was close.

Suffering is never fun. But suffering knowing there’s an end goal can help us endure the pain. When we suffer, we know God is near. We know that God will eventually end all suffering. So suffer and endure, knowing these truths.
