Scripture: Matthew 28:19-20

As we come to the end of the week, let’s return to the Key Verse that we began the week with. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20). Having now had the opportunity to think more deeply about the implications of the Great Commission in terms of who is included, how does this passage speak with richer meaning about what it means to carry out that commission?

• What new insights have you gained this week in terms of what is involved in taking the good news of the kingdom to all people?

• Where are the areas of growth for you as you think about more fully embracing and embodying what it means to see all people as part of God’s family?

• In what ways do you sense Jesus is inviting you to more fully and intentionally live in a way that is inclusive and welcoming to others who are also seeking to follow Him in their contexts?

• Where are the places of resistance in your life to living out the message in this verse? What do you think the resistance is about?

• As you think back over your reflections this week, what do you sense God inviting you to consider, more fully embrace, or perhaps nudging you towards?
