Micah 6:7-8

• What can you do to honor Jesus by living out this verse?

Micah 6:8 says pointedly: “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.” Some of us might know well what succeeds this part of the text, right? To “do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.”

Do you feel like God has shown you what is good? Do you think this statement means God has shown us that helping elderly women cross the street is good? That volunteering in a homeless shelter is good? That a hot, simmering Krispy Kreme doughnut is truly and profoundly GOOD? Or, do you think this statement is saying something else: through the Bible, the character of God is demonstrated in all of its untrammeled goodness. God is good; when we dive into understanding the character of God, we will pursue a similar goodness.
