• Does forgiveness get easier or harder the more you do it? Why?

Forgiveness will always feel difficult because it hurts to be hurt. It’s hard not to want some sort of retribution when you have been wronged. It will never get easier because a new offense will always hurt differently. But the difficulty of forgiveness should not determine whether we forgive or not. Because we have been forgiven, because Jesus gave us examples of forgiveness, we are called to forgive. It doesn’t get easier, but we come to understand God more each time we forgive.
