“You’re the most normal pastor’s kid I’ve ever met.” It was meant as a compliment, even if it sounded a little strange.

There is a stereotype that people raised in church either follow every rule perfectly or rebel completely. But freedom in Scripture does not look like either extreme. Freedom is not doing whatever you want. Freedom is choosing who you belong to.

1 Peter 2:16 says freedom is not an excuse to do harm. Freedom is choosing to live with purpose. When you follow God freely, not out of fear or pressure, freedom becomes something steady, not something fragile.
