Solomon Tells of Jesus’ Coming
Psalm 72:1-19
Life in junior high can feel full; new choices, new feelings, new responsibilities, and higher expectations. In the middle of all that, Jesus is still at work in your life. But it’s not always easy to see how God is working in your situations. When things go wrong, it can be easy to feel discouraged. This week, we looked at the amazing things Jesus has done and learned how to recognize God’s work in our own lives. Even when it’s hard to see in the moment, God is always moving, always working for good.
TRY THIS
Sometime this week, meet together as a family. Have each member of the family share something great Jesus has done or is doing in their life. As a family, see if that great thing matches up with any of the prophecies in Psalm 72. Then have all family members share the great things they are hoping for Jesus to do in the future.
DAILY CHALLENGES
Instead of a Daily Challenge, keep a journal of the things Jesus does this week and try to match up each thing with one of the “He will…” statements from Psalm 72. Stop and look at your list several times during the week. Thank Jesus for the great things he is doing, and then pray in hope for a great thing you would like Jesus to do in your future.
