• How can your freedom enable you to help others?

It had already been a rough morning for Nikki. Kids were sick. The dogs were barking. Breakfast did not go as planned. She was running late, stressed, and trying to fix a mistake at work that felt bigger than she could handle.

By the time Nikki pulled into the drive-thru, everything felt out of control. Then something unexpected happened. When Nikki reached for a credit card, the worker smiled and said, “The person behind you paid for your meal.”

It was a small act, but it landed at just the right moment.

Isaiah 61 reminds us that freedom is not just about feeling better ourselves. Freedom can turn into compassion. When someone shows you kindness, you get the chance to pass that kindness on. Look for a moment this week where your freedom allows you to help someone else breathe a little easier.
