PETER TELLS THE SANHEDRIN ABOUT JESUS

Bible Point- Trusting God makes us brave.

Key Verse-“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

Big Picture - Be brave by stepping into situations in which you'll share Christ.

Peter Tells the Sanhedrin About Jesus

Acts 4:5–14

Courage can feel confusing sometimes. Maybe you’ve done something risky without thinking twice, like trying a wild trick on your bike or speaking up in class. But at the same time, you might feel nervous about being yourself or sharing what you believe because you don’t want to be judged or made fun of. This week, you’ll explore what real courage looks like, the kind that doesn’t come from trying to impress people, but from trusting God to give you both strength and wisdom.

GROWING IN TRUTH

TRY THIS

As a family, identify something courageous you could do together in the upcoming week, and have everyone in your family commit to carrying it out. An example could be identifying another family in your community who is new or needs friends and inviting this family over to your house one evening. This offer of friendship and support could be a really courageous thing for your family to do together!

DAILY CHALLENGES

- BE brave and invite a non-Christian friend to youth group, church, or Bible study.

- BE brave and stand up for someone who is being picked on at school. It can be as simple as suggesting that others leave them alone or sitting at lunch with someone who always eats alone.

- PRACTICE bravely proclaiming your faith in front of a mirror. See if you can find an opportunity to share what you practiced!
