FRIDAY
Revelation 3:20
As we come to the end of the week, let’s return again to the Key Verse that we began the week with. “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20). Having now had the opportunity to think more deeply about this throughout the week, how does this passage speak more richly about what Jesus’ invitation means, both in terms of who is included, and what it looks like to respond and continue to respond if we lose our way?
• What new insights have you gained this week in terms of God both inviting us to be with him and God standing at the door and knocking?
• Where are the growing edges for you as you think about more fully embracing and embodying what it means for God to be knocking on all doors, and what it means to respond and invite Jesus in?
• What questions do you have, or struggle with the most, when it comes to what it means to extend Jesus’ invitation to others, and to respond to it more fully ourselves? What are the growing edges for you?
• How does the image of Jesus standing at the door and knocking help shape how we might help others find their feet again after times of failure?
• As you think back over your reflections this week, what do you sense God inviting you to consider, more fully embrace, or perhaps is nudging you towards?
