• Speaking up when someone interrupts the quiet member of your friend group.
• Learning about people who have less than you, and learning how to advocate for them.
• Volunteering with organizations that address food insecurity and poverty.
• Donating clothes or food you’ve outgrown to help families who need them.
• Supporting things that are good for people and the planet—like recycling or being kind to someone new.

• Forgiving quickly.
• Helping a friend without expecting anything in return.
• Staying behind to help the teacher clean up even though you’ve been dismissed already.
• Being kind to someone who isn’t kind to you.
• Being patient with that one teammate who may not be the most athletic.
