Acts 7:59-60

I had a professor in college whose daughter was murdered in a horrific incident when she was living in Washington D.C. in her twenties. He taught a class on forgiveness and told his story of forgiving the man who’d killed his daughter.

I often think of my professor when I read texts like Acts 7:59-60. That type of forgiveness feels radical, unthinkable. Yet, through God’s prompting, there are people like Stephen who are able to forgive even the worst offenses.

How much would you be willing to forgive someone for? How much has Jesus forgiven you?
