A nurse once told me, “You’re going to feel a pinch, and your arm might be sore for a day or two.” That honesty helped. The shot still hurt, but I trusted the nurse more because the truth was clear. I could handle the discomfort because I knew what to expect.

The Bible is honest like that. Scripture does not promise a life with zero pain. Scripture does promise that pain does not get the final word. When life feels heavy, these verses are not pretending everything is fine. They are reminding you that you can be knocked down without being destroyed, because God does not abandon people in hard moments.
