FRIDAY
Jeremiah 29:11
As we come to the end of the week, let’s return again to the Key Verse that we began the week with. “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’” (Jeremiah 29:11). Having now had the opportunity to think more deeply about this throughout the week, how does this passage speak with richer meaning about what it means to trust in God’s leading for our lives, even when it seems risky in some ways, or invites us to live in ways that seem to go against the grain of culture around us?
• What new insights have you gained this week in terms of what is involved in trusting God and not leaning on “our own understanding”?
• Where are the growing edges for you as you think about more fully embracing and embodying what God’s plans for us really are?
• What barriers or places of resistance do you sense are preventing us from more fully trusting God and living in the way God invites us to? What do you think we can do about them?
• As you think back over your reflections this week, what do you sense God inviting you to consider, more fully embrace, or perhaps is nudging you towards?
