Acts 9:1-19

• Ananias obeyed God even though he had reason to be afraid. When are you afraid to do what’s right?

Doing what is right can be costly, and I am scared the most of the cost of social standing. I worry about losing people I care about, I worry about offending people, and I worry about losing any influence I might have. And yet, when I think about Jesus’ boldness to do the right thing while receiving threats and being lonely at times, I am motivated by the support he gives me when I try to echo his actions today. Now, most of us won’t be called to be martyrs or to risk serious danger, but it’s important to know that doing the right thing is always right. While it might be scary, you are never alone doing the right thing.
