Philippians 3:10-11

• How can we become like Christ? Why would you want to be like Christ?

What’s nice about becoming like Christ is that Christ helps us become like Christ. I didn’t write that to be a tongue twister; I wrote that because it’s true. If we are wondering what it looks like to be like Christ, we can start by opening up the Gospels and reading about the things Jesus did. Through those four books, God tells us how to care for people who are suffering, how to stand up for people who are being oppressed, and how to welcome people who have been isolated. I want to do things today like Jesus did because of how much pain there is around me regularly. I can’t be on Instagram for more than 40 seconds without seeing a post sharing some horrible news happening to another human life. When I think of the suffering now and I remember how Jesus responded to suffering then, I am excited to be part of the healing in our present time.
