2 Thessalonians 3:5

• Why would you need God’s love and perseverance to direct you?

If I’m being honest, on my own, it’s easier for me to give up when things get difficult, and it’s easier for me not to be loving to people who cause me any inconvenience. Maybe it’s a defense mechanism, maybe it’s my own selfishness, but it is what it is. What is easier and more comfortable is where I naturally find myself when dealing with life, but that is when I try to handle things on my own. When I invite Jesus into my life, his love and perseverance make up for where I am lacking. When I feel like quitting, he encourages me to go a little further. When I feel like turning away from people, He reminds me how much He loves others. We can do more when we let God direct us.
