SCRIPTURE - Matthew 6:11

As we come to the end of the week, let’s return to the Key Verse we began with. “Give us today our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11). Having now had the opportunity to think more deeply about what it means to pray and live the way that Jesus invites us to in the Lord’s Prayer, consider the following:

• What new insights have you gained this week in terms of how you can live more fully and joyfully, resting in the awareness and assurance of what God provides?

• Where are the growing edges for you as you think about what it means to live in gratefulness for all that God supplies to sustain us?

• How does this passage suggest that our relationships with others, or the kind of work we do, would be impacted by living with a greater sense of grateful abundance rather than worrisome scarcity?

• What questions do you have, or struggle with, when it comes to living more fully in response to God’s amazing grace, in the midst of a world where people often struggle with other approaches to satisfying the hungers they experience?

• As you think back over your reflections this week, what do you sense God inviting you to consider, more fully embrace, or perhaps is nudging you toward?

As you prepare to enter more fully into your Sabbath experience this weekend, take a few moments to share with God in prayer what is on your heart.
