The Women Who Halted a Genocide
Sometimes the people in Scripture, and even in our own lives, who create the greatest impact are not the ones who receive the most recognition. Honoring God often happens through small acts of resistance, quiet courage, and the willingness to say no even to those in power. The integrity we practice on a small scale can have far-reaching consequences. In this lesson, we will look at the story of Shiphrah and Puah, two midwives who feared God and refused to comply with the tyranny they were commanded to support. We will explore how their courage and their choices played a significant role in the story of Israel’s deliverance and helped shape the future of God’s people.
