Q4 Week 3
Theme:
Jesus gives us love that never runs out
Props:
Blue scarf or ribbon, flashlight or glowstick
Say: Jesus told a man named Nicodemus why He came: God sent Him to show love to the whole world.
Love is like light—it shines bright in the dark. (Turn on flashlight and shine it behind the blue scarf to make soft light effects, or if your child is in the bath, place a baby-safe glowstick in the water with them.) Love is also like water—it keeps our hearts full.
Jesus said, “God loved the world so much that He sent Me!” That means Jesus came for you.
Let’s wave the scarf like flowing water. (Help children wave it gently, or splash in the tub.) Now shine the light together. (Let children take turns holding the light or glow stick if possible.)
Put your hands on your heart. Say, “Jesus loves me!”
Repeat phrase: “Jesus loves me!” (Repeat softly, if possible, with smiles. Allow children to simply listen if they are still learning how to speak.)
