Theme: 

Jesus helps us clean our hearts 

Props: 

Washcloth, toy animals or small objects 

Say: One day, Jesus went to the temple. It  was supposed to be a quiet place to pray. But  people were selling things and making noise.  It was messy, not only on the outside but also  in their hearts. 

Jesus said, “This is My Father’s house!” He  helped clean it up. (Use the washcloth to gently  wipe the toy animals or objects.) 

Jesus wants our hearts to be clean too, not with  soap and water, but with love and kindness.  Just like we wash our hands... (Model washing  hands.) Jesus helps us clean our hearts. 

Let’s pretend to wash our hands together. (Rub  hands slowly.) Say, “Jesus makes me clean!” 

Now take a deep breath and say, “Thank You,  Jesus.” 

Repeat phrase: “Jesus makes me clean!”  (Repeat slowly several times while children  continue playing or wiping.)
