Jesus is the Creator of Water.

Key Verse

“God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).

Theme: 

Jesus fills us when we follow Him 

Props: 

Toy cup, small pitcher or bottle of water 

Say: Jesus told His friends something important:  “Follow Me.” He said it might be hard  sometimes—but it would be worth it. When we  follow Jesus, He gives us what we need. 

(Pick up the toy cup.) This is a cup. It’s empty  right now. But watch! (Pour water into it from the  pitcher.) Jesus fills our hearts just like water fills  this cup. He gives us love, peace, and joy. 

Now let’s hold our hands like a cup. (Demonstrate  cupped hands.) Say, “Fill me, Jesus!” (Pour water  into your child’s hands if they are in the tub”) 

Now take a deep breath in... and out. (Model with  them.) That’s like letting Jesus fill your heart. 

Even when it’s hard, Jesus stays with us. He  fills us again and again! (Pour a little more water  slowly into the cup. Let your child help if possible.) 

Repeat phrase: “Fill me, Jesus!” (Say slowly and  clearly. Let children echo if able, or just hear it  repeated.)
