Jesus Blesses the Children
Mark 10:13-16
The junior high years can be challenging. You are not a little kid anymore, but you may not feel like a full teenager yet either. It is easy to wonder where you fit in and whether you really matter to God. This week you will discover that you are deeply important to Jesus. You are seen, known, and loved for exactly who you are. God made you unique on purpose, with special gifts and personality traits that no one else has. As you go through this study, remember that your value does not come from what you do or how others see you. It comes from being loved by God, just as you are.
TRY THIS
Get together with your family, and make a box or a folder that says, “God loves me, and God will take care of these things” on it. Have all family members write down concerns they need to give over to God and trust Him to take care of. Put the papers in the box or folder. Later this week, read through the papers in the box and see how God has been working in your lives!
DAILY CHALLENGE
• LISTEN to your favorite Christian worship music. Think about the words as you listen, and pray them to Jesus.
• TAKE a walk with Jesus, and tell him honestly about all your hopes and fears. Ask him to show you how much he loves you.
• READ about Jesus in the Gospel of Mark. Consider how he treated people and what that might mean about how he sees you.
