• How did these new believers put God first and worship with their whole hearts? How can you worship with your life like this?

For these new believers, worship looked like community. We have such busy weeks, surrounded by people; sometimes people we don’t like. We may be required to be around them in places like school, where we have to be for five days per week, and then we might have a job with some people we aren’t a fan of either. Then comes the weekend, and we know some of those people are going to be at church, so sometimes we’re tempted to avoid it. But our Christian experience does not need to include avoiding people who annoy us—it can be doing life with people who may be different than us. There is beauty to be experienced in diversity, and we can grow to be better people by doing life with people who can bug us in non-harmful ways. Make space to worship in community and let your hearts be open to that.
