(Answer the question/s below in your app notes)
• How is courage related to loving others?
Loving others takes courage because we aren’t guaranteed to be loved back in the same way. We can go out of our way for people, we can sacrifice pieces of ourselves—all for it not to be returned. It takes courage to accept that, to do what is right, knowing that there is a possibility of it not coming back. We’ve all experienced it. The friend you always look out for might talk behind your back. The friend you always show up for could leave you out when they meet new people. But loving is still always worth it. We don’t love to be loved back. We love because love reflects who we are and whose we are. Loving does not mean allowing harm or losing yourself. It means choosing kindness, integrity, and courage, while also honoring the limits that protect your heart. Find people who can love you well. But never let someone else’s response determine whether you choose to love.
