• THE Israelites move quickly from singing praise in Exodus 15 to complaining in the wilderness only a few days later. What does this shift reveal about how human beings respond to stress, fear, and unmet needs? How have you seen similar emotional shifts in your own life or in others?
• AT first glance, the Israelites may appear ungrateful. However, considering that the human body can survive only three to five days without water, how does understanding their physical distress change the way you interpret their reaction?
• HOW does empathy for the Israelites’ previous suffering and their present distress alter our reading of the story?
• WHERE do our own scarcity mindsets come from, and how does God meet us within them?
