INTRODUCTION
STAND STILL; MOVE ON
There are moments in life when we are unsure whether faith requires stillness or action. Should we remain where we are and trust God to intervene, or should we step forward and trust God to open the door? This tension is something many of us face. Sometimes the hardest part of faith is not believing in God’s power, but discerning what God is asking us to do in a particular moment.
In this study, we will explore Exodus 14, focusing on verses 14 and 15, where two instructions appear to stand in opposition to one another. We will explore how these verses reveal that the nature of faithful living and trust is not always about having one answer that applies to every situation. Instead, faith invites us into an ongoing relationship with God, where we learn to seek God’s guidance and discern whether a particular moment calls for stillness or movement.
