(Answer the question/s below in your app notes)

• How can God’s forgiveness comfort you after you have chosen to do your own thing?

Imagine holding your breath for a long time. Maybe you’re doing a silly challenge with friends, or you jumped into a pool and want to just pause in the depths of the water you landed in. Either way, that feeling of air rushing into your lungs as you take your next deep breath is a relief of stress and a release of tension. That is what God’s forgiveness feels like when we intentionally choose to serve ourselves instead of letting God lead us into something better. God’s forgiveness gives us steadiness after things feel rocky. It’s easy to feel like everything is ruined or that we can never go back to the way things were, but God calls us to take hold of the hand that he has always been reaching out to us. Find rest in knowing that there is nothing that we can do that can separate us from the love of God.
