READ: John 5:19-20

• Where did Jesus put his focus? Where is your focus?

When Jesus lived on earth, he remained fully dependent on the Father. He made time daily to connect with God, he started his days with God, he sought to please God. The text today tells us that God was the standard that Jesus imitated. What would it be like if we approached every situation seeking to respond the way God would? A God who loves all people, who cares deeply for all people, and wants the best for all people? If we slowed down and made that our focus, the world around us could change greatly for the better.
