Jesus Teaches We Are To Be Salt and Light

Matthew 5:13–16

Theme: Jesus makes us shine

Props: Small shaker of salt, flashlight

Say: Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth.” Salt comes from the land and makes food taste good. He also said, “You are the light of the world.” (Shake a tiny bit of salt in your hand. Turn on the flashlight.) Jesus made the earth, and He made us shine for Him. Point to your smile and say, “I shine for Jesus!”

Repeat phrase: “I shine for Jesus!”
