WEEK 2 - Jacob Deceives Esau and Isaac
Jacob Deceives Esau and Isaac
Genesis 25:27–32; 27:1–40
Props: Soft fur cloth, rug, or blanket, star stickers
Say: In the Bible, Jacob made a wrong choice. He tricked his father, Isaac, and hurt his brother, Esau. That wasn’t good. But even when people make mistakes, Jesus, the One who created the sparkling stars, still sees everything with love and kindness.
Place star stickers on your child’s hand or shirt.
Say: These stars remind us that Jesus made space. He made stars bright and shining, and He sees us clearly, just like He sees every star. Nothing hides from His light.
Rub the soft fur cloth, rug, or blanket.
Say: Jacob used soft fur to pretend to be Esau. Isaac was confused, and Jacob’s trick hurt his family. Sometimes people do things that are wrong. But Jesus, the Creator of galaxies and moons, wants us to choose love, kindness, and truth.
Hold your child’s hands in yours.
Say: Jesus helps our hands do kind things. Jesus helps our hearts make good choices. Jesus puts His light inside us, like tiny stars that shine kindness.
Lift your child gently or rock them.
Say: Even when Jacob made a wrong choice, God still saw him and cared for him. Jesus doesn’t stop loving us when we make wrong choices. He helps us learn, just like light helps us see in the dark.
Point upward.
Say: Look at the stars Jesus made! He put every star in its place. And He put you in a special place too: right in His heart.
Whisper softly: Jesus sees me. Jesus loves me. Jesus helps me.
Repeat phrase: “Jesus sees me!”
