What is the most amazing worship experience you have ever participated in? There is usually quite a lot of thought, planning, and reflection that go into the worship services you may attend weekly. Worship matters. As you think about all the things that come together (tangible or intangible) that make for a meaningful experience, what are the things that speak to you the most? One of the most amazing worship scenes recorded anywhere in Scripture is Revelation 4 and 5. (Both chapters should be read together, but if you’re short on time, you can pause and linger in chapter 4.) As you take some time to reflect on that passage for today, think about the following:

- How would you describe what you see happening here? What are people experiencing, and how are they responding?

- What are you most drawn to or most moved by?

- How would you describe the underlying emotion(s) that flavor and shape the service?

- Does it feel more “relational” or “transactional” to you?  Explain.

- Take a few moments to share with God in prayer your response to this passage.
