• How can you live more like Jesus?

My cousin Kaity is five years older than me, and my longing to be just like her has been an everlasting impulse. She’s bubbly, brilliant, and beautiful, with hair the color of sunbeams and an engaging charisma that enchants every room she enters. Kaity reads every book ever published, can give thoughtful commentary on world events, and is charming and hilarious. When we were younger, I watched her like she was a movie star. I studied her. Everything Kaity did, I copied. Have you ever idolized someone that you knew personally? What made you want to be like them? Was it their personality? Their achievements? Their looks? As Christians, our goal is to be like Jesus. But how do we become like someone we’ve never met in person? By watching how he moves in Scripture. By studying his words, by meditating on his parables. By imitating him, we will learn to become like him.
