Joseph Takes His Family to Safety in Egypt

Matthew 2:13–23

Theme:

Jesus keeps us safe wherever we go.

Props:

Small blanket, toy house.

Say: Joseph listened to God and took Mary and baby Jesus to a new land, Egypt. God gave

them land to live in and kept them safe. (Wrap the toy house with the blanket gently, then tuck

your child’s feet or hands.) God made the land as a place where we can rest and grow. Jesus

is always with us, keeping us safe. Put your hand on your heart and say, “Jesus keeps me

safe!”

Repeat phrase: “Jesus keeps me safe!”
