READ: Psalm 119:114

(Answer the question/s below in your app notes)

• How is God like a shield in your life?

GOD AS A SHIELD (NOUN): Shiny, strong, durable. Bad things bounce off of it. Passive but effective.

GOD AS A SHIELD (VERB): God like a ninja; active, slicing and dicing the air. Stunt double, bodyguard, brave, fast.

Is God your shield? Which do you think of when you think of God? A bodyguard, actively defending you from the evil in the world? Or a weapon you can use, holding it out to protect yourself when the weather becomes violent? The Psalmist says this: You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.

God is your shield. How can you practice gratitude for this protection?
