Jesus Appears to His Disciples

John 20:19-31

Trusting a God you cannot see or touch can feel really hard. It might seem like just another story or another promise that will not last. If you are not sure what you believe yet, that is okay. Faith often grows over time, not all at once. As you move through this week, pay attention to how love, patience, and kindness show up around you. The way God’s love is lived out through people can help make faith feel more real, and it can slowly build trust in our God, who is worth believing in.

TRY THIS

With your family, make a list of things you believe in even though you can’t see them. For example, you can’t see your brain—do you believe you have one? What about a heart or a stomach? Try to list 50 things in five minutes! Then randomly choose five items on your list and talk about why you believe they exist. Compare that with the things that help you believe in Jesus.

DAILY CHALLENGE

• WHAT are you most worried about? Pray every morning for Jesus to help you have faith in him being in control.

• WHY does your faith matter? Write a letter to Jesus about why you believe in him and why it matters.

• ASK someone older than you why it makes a difference in his or her life to have faith in Jesus.
