• In what way is our relationship with God similar to that of a parent with a child?

Since my wife and I welcomed a baby into our family recently, the analogy of God being a parent makes more sense to me. The unrelenting care, the constant support, the immediate sacrifice without question. I constantly want what’s best for my baby, whether or not she understands it. God holds us closely the same way, loving us infinitely and doing everything possible to give us the best opportunities to grow. God invites us to be shaped by the love we are given so that we can shape the world around us.
