• How is God like a shield in your life?

While we can’t avoid hard times, we have never had to face them alone. God’s guidance and love act as shields by guarding us from selfish thinking, guarding us from turning away from suffering and from doing harm to another person. We have a lot of things that could tempt us to think only of ourselves, but God’s standard calls us higher. We don’t have to fight alone; God’s love can protect us when we accept it.
