God Protects Moses
Exodus 1:1-2:10
Teenagers have seen enough of life to wonder if it is really true that God wants to protect us. Many have faced loss or painful situations, and they know that believing in God does not remove every hardship. As you explore this topic throughout the week, bring your honest questions about what protection means and how God is present in hard moments. Keep the conversation open, listen to one another, and let your doubts guide you toward deeper understanding.
DAILY CHALLENGE
Choose one or more of these Daily Challenges to do this week.
• Give one major fear in your life to God, and trust God to lead you through your fear.
• Pray for the protection of God’s people in a country involved in war or persecution.
• Make a list of all the ways you can remember God protecting you so far in your life.
FAITH JOURNAL
Why is it sometimes hard for you to trust in God’s protection?
TALK WITH YOUR FAMILY
Read Psalm 139:1-10 with your family; then, as a family, make a list of all the things that God knows about you. Talk about how God is with those who love him and how he cares for them, even in hard times. Make sure every family member has a small piece of notepaper and a pen. For one hour, all the members of your family are to try to keep track of how many times they sit down or stand up, what they think, how many times they go in or out of a room, how many times they lie down, and what they say.
After an hour, share your discoveries and discuss these questions:
• What do you think about the fact that God is more aware of what you do than you are?
• How does his constant watch over you influence his ability to protect you?
