Philippians 2:1-5

• How is Jesus a model for us?

I think that interactions of Jesus are so deep and diverse that many people resonate with these interactions differently, causing a diversity in thought about what Jesus models to each of us. For me, Jesus has modeled navigating difficult conversations. Jesus had a lot of haters, people who were offended by Him, and people who disagreed with Him. Whenever He was able to give space to talk with one of these people, he handled the conversation with grace and patience. He spoke in a way that they would understand and would meet them where they were at. In a world that is so divided, I am glad I have a model like Jesus on how to have hard conversations with people who think differently from me.
