• What good gifts has God given you?

Is there such a thing as a bad gift? There’s an old commercial that used to be on television for Skittles. It included an old man who worked at an office, looking extremely sad. When his co-workers approach him, he is holding his hands up with a disturbed and sad look on his face. We come to find out that he developed a power overnight—every single thing he touches turns into a multitude of Skittles. It’s funny and also sad because he realizes that he can never hold his grandchildren or be hugged ever again. I think that’s an example of a bad gift. But in reality, I don’t think we have bad gifts, just gifts that we can use for harm. Every gift we have comes from God, and when we use them to spread goodness, we allow ourselves to sync up with God’s vision for our world. With God’s guidance, all of our gifts are good and perfect.
