Psalm 30:6-7

• Who are some people in your life who help you not be shaken in your faith?

My mom has been my spiritual compass for most of my life. When I was young, I used to think she was too intense and too strange with her beliefs, but when I pause to think about it, her beliefs have directly molded the way I believe in God. Through the things she said and her practices, I always had an example of what being a dedicated follower of Christ looked like. When I am questioning, I can look at her life. When I am struggling, I can look at her life. Her unwavering faith in God makes me want to take risks in my belief in God, even when I can’t see things as confidently as she does. It’s important for us to surround ourselves with people whose gift of faith is stronger than our own. At times, it’s the faith of others that gets us through difficult times.
