• How has studying Scripture helped you get to know Jesus better?

One of the first places to start if you want to hear Jesus’ voice is Scripture. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are all narratives of things Jesus said and did while walking on Earth, caring for humanity. In these written accounts are the things Jesus said transcend time. When Jesus said to love your neighbor in 33 AD, it still stands true in 2026. When Jesus said to love your enemies who hate you in 33 AD, it still rings true in 2026. When we read Scripture, especially in the Gospels, we know Jesus better by understanding the things he wanted for humanity then and still wants for us today.
