• How does God bless us when we are poor in spirit?

God blesses us when we are poor in spirit by reminding us that there is more to life than our lowest moment. The text promises that the poor in spirit own the kingdom of heaven. Though someone is feeling depleted and feeling the weight of the world, God wants to remind that person that they are more than that. This does not mean we are supposed to neglect our responsibilities and worries, but embrace them, knowing God has so much more in store for you.
