• What does it look like to come to God honestly and expectantly? What do you think the text means when it says God will “fill” us?

As much as we can learn that God wants to bless us, we need to be aware of how to receive the blessings. In the text, God invites the psalmist to open their mouth to receive what God has for them. Our mouths are the starting point of our nourishment. God wants to bring us what we need—not just to survive, but to thrive. But at the end of the day, this Scripture is an invitation, not a command. God will not force us to trust; we choose whether we will open our lives to what God wants to do in us. How is God inviting you to be nourished today?
