READ: 1 Chronicles 23:1-5

(Answer the question/s below in your app notes)

• What roles and talents are listed in this Scripture? What talents has God given you?

How would you define “talent”? How would you define “skill”? What’s the difference between the two?

Talent is an innate ability that comes naturally—a person is born with talents; they are more or less independent of the person’s effort. Skills, on the other hand, are learned and acquired.

We can use our skills and talents for the Kingdom of Heaven, and both are useful and meaningful to God. What talents could you use for God? Music? Art? What about something more unconventional like athleticism or technological aptitudes? How can you use your talent for playing pickleball for God’s glory? Or your fast typing speed?

The Bible is full of people who had all sorts of unique gifts: Moses and his leadership, David’s poetic and musical heart, Esther’s bravery, Peter’s passion. Learning how to worship God can be an exciting, lifelong journey. This week, spend some time in reflection about what your special gifts are, and how you can use them to honor God!
